Be the missionary your mom prays for you to be

The quote in the title has been on my mind all week. I hope all my missionary friends think about this. I don't want to lose my streak of sending an email every week but to be honest idk what to write this week. We have had kind of a rough week missionary wise, as far as not finding very many people. Let me try to think of some highlights though. - zone conference happened on Wednesday and it was awesome! I was able to see lots of good friend that I made and start saying some goodbyes. We received lots of council from our mission president and it was super uplifting. It's hard for me to sit still for 8 hours. - so the family that lives above us, the husband had surgery this week. He asked us for a priesthood blessing. I was able to give him a blessing and it was super cool. I'm always touched how you feel a teeny tiny percent of God's love for that person. Its awesome. His surgery went great by the way. - we had a meeting with our friend We've been teaching named ...

Anotha bomb week in Kearns 😍. This week had its ups and downs for sure.  An up is that our friend Oscar got baptized! Oscar is the first person that I found that got baptized and it was a special process to see. His baptism was super spiritual. And especially when he went under the water I just couldn't stop smiling. I asked him after how he felt and he said "I feel like all of my sins are gone" and it was so cool for me to see how he's changed. A down (and an up too) is that BYU Football had a great game this week and I couldn't watch it. So yeah everybody feel bad for me. At least we won though. Go Cougars! This week we had a baptism in sandy, so I got to leave the Mission boundaries for a little bit. We were pretty early to the baptism so we drove over to my grandparents house since they lived like five minutes from there. My grandparents were actually at the BYU football game in Arkansas but my uncle Robb was there! It was super cool to see him and to visit...

Baptism, gun, and exchanges

This week has been so much fun. I still can't believe that I'll be going to Sweden after this transfer! But until then I need to keep working hard here and make the most of my time here. I've seen so many miracles this week!  Miracle one- Our friend Parker had his baptism on Saturday! It was super spiritual and I'm so proud of him and how he wants to follow Jesus Christ. I was able to give a talk at his baptism about what it is and what it means and it was cool.  Miracle two- Elder Joyner and I went on exchanges with one of our zone leaders Elder Crotts. It was a great experience. We literally had a day packed full of miracles, but I'll put 3 of my favorite ones right here.       1- we were able to find this lady to teach named Jessica. She has been going through such a hard time in her life. She told us all about the struggles. We taught her the restoration and about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon and you could see the joy it brought her. She is now o...

Hej hej!  This week has been super dope! For starters I did go to DC!! I left late Wednesday night, the APs drove me to the airport. I was so excited to go to DC and to be by myself for a little bit for the first time in 14 weeks, until I ran into some swedish missionaries coming with me in the line for security. It's okay though because I'm so glad I met them there! The five of them started the MTC that day, said bye to their families, set their stuff down, and got on a train to salt lake. Kinda a crazy day for all of us but especially them. It was super fun to meet them and give them some advice on the mtc and being a missionary. It felt nice to be a couple weeks ahead of someone because it seems that everyone I've  met will go home before me haha. Anyway we flew overnight to Charlotte North Carolina. It was rough not going to lie. I'm not a huge fan of the overnight flight haha. I took a funny picture in the bathroom of the plane at 2 in the morning. I tried to hav...
