Week 9- dead birds, drunk people, and baptism

Image
Hallå! This was my first full week in the Mission field, and it has felt like one of the longest weeks of my life haha. It has been fun though! We're having trouble finding people to teach, (which I'm sure is a common issue for most missionaries) but the couple lessons we have taught have been great. I am definitely very new to all of this and need lots of training and work.  Some highlights  -My favorite part from this week was playing basketball last P day! It was exactly what the doctor ordered haha. - A close second though was I got to call two of the sisters from my MTC district for language study!! It was so good to talk to them and see some familiar faces. It's also very comforting to know that other people are going through the same things I am. Shoutout to Sister McCombs and Sister Wilcox!  - I had my first baptism this week!! Although my trainer and his last companion found her and taught her a lot of stuff, I was able to jump in and help teach our friend...

Whoop whoop Salt Lake City West

Hello everyone! It’s only been a few days since my last email but A LOT has happened since. First, I made it to Salt Lake! But I’ll get to that in a second. after i sent my last email I said goodbye to many people in my district that night. It was really sad because we had all grow so close over the past six weeks. If ur reading this I love you guys fr:) One thing that was really cool was that before we all left each other, the three of us Elders gave everyone blessings. this was a really cool experience for me. especially when i had the opportunity to give my two companions a blessing. I felt their Heavenly Fathers love for them and for me which was so cool. anyway a lot of hard goodbyes followed that. The MTC was fun but I was ready to leave. I wasn’t ready to leave a lot of the people. At the top of that list is my twin sister Peyton who has been there for a couple weeks with me. It was super hard to say bye to her. Shes gonna be such a great missionary though! Germany and wha...

Hej Då till MTC- Week 7

This week has been so much fun! I leave the MTC on friday morning to take a bus to Salt Lake to serve there until my visa is ready. My new P-day will be on Monday so there should be another email semi-soon. I feel like so much has happened but I’m having trouble remembering. I’ll just put some bullet points Me and my companions went to the gym today and played basketball and volleyball, and we realized that we had a teaching appointment in five minuetes so we ran all the way back to our dorm and put on a sweater and gave the lesson, still in our basketball shoes. It was a funny experience. I’ll try to remember to put a picture at the bottom. We also have had a lot of goodbyes this week. I’ve now said goodbye to 3 of my 4 teachers, and I say goodbye to the last one tonight. This actually has been really sad, I’ve grown to love my teachers and each of them has had a lasting impact on me here at the MTC. I am not looking forward to saying bye to the friends I’ve made and my district...

Because I haven’t gotten my visa yet, I’ve been temporarily reassigned to… SALT LAKE CITY! Hopefully my visa comes soon but while I wait i will be in salt lake! Everyone in my district had this happen to them too and they are going all over the country, I cant wait to see what we can accomplish in the states and in Sweden.  A lot happened this week so ill just do bullet points -The 4th of July was yesterday and it was so fun! although I definitely was sad i wasn't home to celebrate with family and do our normal thing, the MTC tried their best to help us have a good time and I appreciated it. It was so fun to talk to my district and the guys in our zone. -Swedish is going great. I'm slowly but surely getting it. Like it feels really slowly but at least it's progressing haha. Me and my companions had a teaching appointment in Swedish and we got stood up haha. It was fine though we just watched our first helping others and saw how much we have grown over the past month. -It...
