CHRISTMAS, Stockholm, and transfer news🤯🎄
Merry Christmas everyone! Sweden is so awesome and the definition of a winter wonderland. This week has been one of the craziest weeks of my life to be honest.
To start off the week I got to go to Stockholm for the first time!! (Well i was there when i got here but just the airport, mission home and train station lol). STOCKHOLM IS THE BEST! I fell in love with this city. Its so so so pretty and fun! I loved walking "Gamla Stan" (old city) and seeing it for the first time. It was super special!
The next day we had our Christmas conference! It was so cool because it was with 3 of the 5 zones in our mission so 7/12 People from my mtc district were there so it was so awesome to see some of my old friends!! I missed them all sm and i am sad i didnt get to see the rest of them. Christmas conference was so much fun though! We walked the streets of Stockholm and sung Christmas carols and it was amazing to spread the Christmas cheer to the Swedish people! Also Santa made an appearance and gave everyone hats, too bad president Lake wasnt there to get one. He never seems to be around when Santa is? Weird.
After our christmas conference Äldste Sannemann stayed for an extra day in Stockholm for disciplinary reasons (jk just splits with the APs hahahaha) so I traveled back to Sundsvall with Elders Stallings and Wankte. It was fun to have another round of splits with them. Those Elders are amazing. We were able to invite one of our friends to be baptized and it was really spiritual. He didnt understand the benefits of baptism, so we told him about it. It was super cool:)
When Sannemann came back we decided we wanted to do something nice for some of our friends, so we foolishly decided we could bake them all cookies and deliver them. Let me tell you guys, this was such a struggle🤣. Literally we made a huge mess, we were so stressed, and it was so funny hahaha. It ended up taking 3 times as long as we were planning and the cookies ended up not even that good. (They got really flat for some reason?) But it was a special experience to pass them out and i was proud of us at the end.
FINALLY FREE-
Ok so a "greenie" is what you call a missionary in their first or second transfer. So when i was reassigned in Salt Lake, i was trained there and was there for two transfers. Then i got my visa and came to sweden and was called a greenie again. So i am finishing my second transfer in Sweden this week and I will FINALLY not be considered a greenie hahaha. (I hit 7 months next week to put it in perspective)
Okay so by the way we got our transfer calls on Saturday night and me and Äldste Sannemann will stay in Sundsvall for anotha one. But that's not all... we will be trio training🤯. Its going to be my 3rd trio so im excited!
I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and hug your families tight because i sure miss mine today. Its hard to be away for the holidays but has given me a chance to focus purely on WHY we celebrate Christmas, Jesus Christ. Because of his birth and his sacrifice I can be with my family for all eternity. I'm willing to give up two Christmases to tell others about that. There will be plenty more 🥲. That does not mean it's easy to be far from home, but it means that it's worth it. Thats the theme ive noticed on my mission so far. Hard but worth it. I hope you guys have a great Christmas and tell the people you love that you love them today!!
I love and miss all of you!
