I'm not built for this
Hej på er! This week was actually so great! I know last weeks email sounded pretty depressing haha and im sorry about that, i just try to keep it real and genuine. Im happy to say that we had a successful bounce back week😎 let me tell you about it!
---COLD COLD COLD. It has been so incredibly cold outside. It got down to like -33 Celsius which is like -27 Fahrenheit. Hence the title, i am definitely not built for this weather. Today it was around 0 and it felt actually really nice. I think I broke my body. This is God getting revenge on me for wearing shorts in the wintertime my whole life. (Ive learned my lesson pls dont judge)
---Äldste Sannemann left me again to go to Stockholm for a couple days for leadership stuff, so it was just me and Äldste Curtis. It was actually really good! Its definitely scary to train and try to be a good example, and have absolutely nobody to fall back on for Swedish, BUT God helped me for real.
--- we had a fika with one of our friends named Gunilla and it went super well! At the end she called herself our "svensk mama" or our "Swedish mom". Pretty cool. No one can replace Sister Johanson in SLC West though!
--- We were knocking doors and a lady let us in! It was a very old women whose apartment was not in the best shape. We taught her a short lesson and it was cool!
--- Swedish is coming along slow and steady. Still tough but i can do more everyday.
--- Our trio has been awesome!! It was kinda weird at first to have another person when i was so used to just me and Sannemann, but it is coming along. Its funny to see and hear other peoples opinions on America. It might be the only time on my mission when im with two people from different countries. Kinda crazy.
Thank you guys for all the nice emails, i really do appreciate them. Gud älskar dig! Och jag älskar dig! Kämpa på i tro.
-Äldste Jackson Calder
