I'm leaving Sweden

 Well, its been a good run.


GOTCHA

I already left Sweden, but i came back the same day. And im here to stay! (I hope haha) but i went down to Copenhagen Denmark this week! It was so awesome and a crazy spiritual experience. The temple and city were so beautiful. I got to be in the temple for like 5 hours and i did not realize how much i missed the temple!! I have been craving the temple and it was an awesome experience.

I dont have a ton of time but let me tell you about the rest of my week!

The rule for going to the temple is we have to be able to get there and back in one day, so we woke up at 3:30 A.M to get there and was home by 10:30 P.M. it was a busy but awesome day.

-Lots of hard work! We've been grinding in this week. Lots of street contacting.

-THE SUN. The sun was out for a few days and it was much needed.

- i got a bloody nose out of nowhere in the middle of a lesson and it dripped into my hot chocolate🤢🥴. So unfortunate.

-we had a crazy experience with finding. We've been blessed to see some success in that area of missionary work, and one day it was rainy and a tough day. The last women we talked to was so interested and wants to learn more! Her name is Emma and shes from africa, it was her first day in Kalmar and she was super scared and was praying for friends. She told us we were an answer to prayers. This experience built my testimony of EFFORT. We got rejected the whole day but because we tried our best we were rewarded in the end.

-got to play some basketball 🥰

- got called racist because im American, tough life out here 😔. (We did get his number though lol)

A quick spiritual thought is a quote that the branch president said this week. "Comfort is the worst addiction" I love this because when we are comfortable we don't grow! Its important to always push ourselves to be better and to try to be more like Jesus everyday. Im so grateful that i have the opportunity to be a missionary and be constantly out of my comfort zone. Also P.S i love Jesus.

Every transfer (6 week period) we do this thing called an engelska fast or english fast for those of you who didn't guess haha. This means that we try our best to go a full week without any english which is really cool and pretty difficult. But why do it? There are a few reasons, the main few - i want to prove i can do it - i want (need) to improve my swedish lol - we are rewarded with a movie at the end of the week that we watch in swedish. So the first time I tried decently hard at this english fast, i got blessed. WE GOT TO WATCH CARS. It was so hype and much needed. The title of the email is what Lightning McQueen says, it means "I am speed" (speed = fart in swedish🤣🤣) i laughed a little too hard and a little too long at that haha This week was very good! First and foremost, our friend Andreas got baptized. It was a super spiritual experience for him and for everyone there. 20 years old!

Dang two decades. Hey everyone! I wanted to start this off this week by just expressing my gratitude. So many of you sent me super nice stuff for my birthday, thank you for all the birthday wishes. Its hard to be away from home on a birthday but you guys made my day so good for real! I read all the messages and ill try my best to respond tonight❤️. Let me briefly tell you about my week. - last monday we played basketball (suprise) and it was delightful. We also played this chair soccer game and its ruthless but a blast. - zone conference was on Tuesday! I always love zone conference for a few reasons, i get to see my friends and it is always a spiritual experience. One thing we talked about was putting ourselves in the shoes of the Nephites when Jesus Christ came to visit them in 3 Nephi 11. He talked to each person one by one. What would i say to him? Stockholm, Halmstad, and Copenhagen🫢

  Hey everyone! Happy Monday😁. Life is good here in Sweden! It was a good and weird week so here is some stuff we did. Sooooo as the title suggests i traveled around a lot this week actually. On Tuesday i took the 4 and 1/2 hour train ride to Stockholm to do splits there.  -Stockholm was beautiful as always :) i hope i get the opportunity to serve in the Stockholm zone at some point. I was with Elder Belnap for the day and golly is he a good missionary. It was a cool learning experience.  - we went to some random barbecue with a recent member in Täby and it was the funniest experience of my life. We showed up and they had brought a little grill to a fire pit because they couldnt get the fire going and it was just us, the Täby sister missionaries, the recent convert and her british friend. I dont really know why it was so funny to me but the new member kept trying to give us food and had a take a bunch of pictures (literally throughout the whole barbecue) with the sisters...
